What can I do if an app I need is Intel-only?

Ask the developer for a universal or Apple silicon version, and report the app on Intel Countdown: every report is a vote in a public ranking we take to the makers. Staying on macOS 27 keeps the app running, but without security updates once Apple moves on. A report takes about twenty seconds.
